Happy Birthday Jude!!!

4 years ago today my biggest dream came true...I became a mom :)

Jude Michael LaFeve was born at 12:00am October 16th(thats what his birth certificate says...others say it was 11:59pm  October 15th ha) - 8 pounds 13 ounces and 20.5 inches long

He is such a blessing!

I can not believe my sweet baby is 4 years old today!

 

Psalm 127:3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.

I am So thankful that God has given me my little Jubee to raise- I pray that He grows to love the Lord with all his Heart and live a life for Him! Happy Birthday my sweet birthday boy!!!

Judes Pirate Party

A couple months back Jude really  wanted a super hero party, so we started making plans, we went to hobby lobby got felt, started making really cute capes for all Judes friends, after making about 8 Jude came to me and said very seriously " mom, I really don't love super heros anymore, I really  love pirates, and i really want a pirate birthday" so we went looking for eye patches and swords :)  

 I can not believe my little baby is 4 years old (almost) Daisys mom grew up with me, it's fun watching our kids play together and become friend! 

 When Riley got to the party Jude said "Riley you look great! you look so beautiful" (she was wearing her princess dress :) )

 Also for the last couple months Jude hasn't just been asking for a puppy, he has been praying "Dear God thank you so much for the puppy that I'm going to get for my birthday"... how could I not get him a puppy after that? I admit I wanted a dog too :) So we got Jude a puppy...he wanted to name it "woofert" but settled for "Oreo" haha. She is black with a little white on her chest. She has been a great dog so far...she lets the kids carry her around everywhere! Hailey thinks shes like a new baby haha :) I love watching them play with her!!!

At midnight my baby will be 4 years old!!!! He's growing too fast!!!!  I love him so much, he's such a blessing to everyone he meets! :)

The Boys Are One!!!!

Well  my babies are one year old....I can not believe it has been a year since we were blessed with our twins! Ever since I was a little girl I wanted twins, I would ALWAYS say that when I grew up I would have twins.. When we were trying to get pregnant I prayed for twins, a lot... and God said yes! I am so thankful for them, and so proud of them! They are such huge blessings!!!! When Liam was born he weighed 4.12...

now, he weighs 23.5 pounds!!!

When Seth was born he weighed 5.5 pounds...

Now he weighs 24 pounds!!!!

You definitely can't tell they were premies anymore! :)

We had a Milk and Cookies party for them at the park, we couldn't have asked for better weather!

a little about my sweeties.... :)

I thought I would write a little something about each of the kids...

 Today during our bible time I was reading Jude and Hailey the story of Moses and the parting of the Red Sea (We are going through "The Jesus Story Book Bible" I highly recommend  it to anyone looking for a good bible for preschoolers- the kids got it as a Christmas present from their Aunt Hannah and Uncle Joe a couple years ago) as I was reading it Jude stopped me a couple times, the first time he reminded me that the story that we were reading was really real, because it's in the Bible, and the bible is real, not like the boogie man, who is pretend (haha) then when I got to the part right before God parted the Red Sea asked them if they knew what was going to happen and Jude said "I don't know, but I know God is going to take care of them!!" What precious words to hear my almost 4 year old say!  I pray that God continues to work in the hearts of my children and draws them close to Him so that they can always have the assurance that God is Always in control. Jude is also my little super hero....or super villain, when he is in character nothing can get him out of it! We spend alot of time shooting "goobily goo" on each other, because he likes to be "Yucky Man" or "Clean man". Everyday He also tells me he is so excited for the doggie he is going to get on his birthday....which he is not going to get!!! He's smart :) I think we are getting him a hamster so once he sees that hopefully he will forget about the dog for a couple years :) haha

Hailey is my strong willed sweetie....ha she reminds me alot of myself...very stubborn and hard headed, but she's also one of the sweetest little girls I have ever met. She has taught me a Lot about patience and parenting and I have spent alot of time in prayer for her!!! haha I am praying that God uses her strong willed spirit for His glory as she grows into a young lady!!  She has always been pretty good at playing by herself, she likes being in control and her dolls do whatever she says :) ha. Today I was trying to get her to nap (failed attempt) we were in my bed, and of course she has to have around 10 dolls with her... so she lays them all down covers them up gives them all kisses then lays down, then gets back up and says "oh you need a drink? ok" has another doll get up and walk over to me and says "my sister needs a drink" haha. after a while I closed my eyes pretending to be asleep hoping that she would get tired and go to sleep so she starts whispering, gives her babies all a kiss, prays with each baby, gives another kiss to them all, rubs my hand and gives it a kiss and then just pretends away :) I love to watch her pretend and use her imagination 

Little Liam is taking up to 3 steps unassisted now!  He also can say "Popoo" (thats what we call my grandpa) "mama" "dada" "baba" "uh oh" and "bu bu" When he is in his high chair and wants down he lifts his hands straight up until I pick him up, it's really adorable! I was looking at some pictures from almost a year ago and Liam was so tiny! He was the reason that I had to have them early, he had developed IUGR (intrauterine growth restriction) and was starting to lose weight. He was 4.12 when he was born. I am so thankful that I was getting ultrasounds everyweek otherwise we would have not known and he could have easily died. He has definitely caught up on the weight :) He's such a sweetie and loves to laugh...he will look at people and do this fake laugh just to get them laughing. :) He loves to be the center of attention and I think he is going to really take after his older brother and he a little clown :) 

And my youngest...sweet Sethy poo (or as Hailey calls him "Heffy Poo" ha) He is my little toddler! He toddles around EVERYWHERE (if the bathroom door is open he will be playing in the toilet within seconds) He can stand up in the middle of the floor and start walking, which is so adorable!!! He seems to be a little bit more shy than Liam(not much though- all my kids are pretty loud haha). He loves to cuddle and give kisses. He will look at me and go "mmmmm" and then make the puckering sound. He has actually been sitting on my lap the whole time I've been typing this. He is a cuddle bug :) He also has a little temper, it is pretty cute when he gets mad he waves his arms up and down so fast! ha. What a blessing he is!!!

Our Terrifying Night....

Having 4 small children I rarely get a good nights sleep...I don't think I have slept through the night since the babies have been born,  they have been pretty good sleepers, but just having 4 kids atleast one kid wakes up crying because his/her blanket fell off, or they fell out of the bed, a bad dream or they just woke up. When they don't wake up I wake up multiple times to check on them because they aren't waking up :) But the last couple weeks the babies have not been sleeping well (because of teething, colds, asthma, etc.). Because I sleep lightly I hear and see stuff outside and sometimes i get a little scared but then remember it's probably nothing and am able to go back to sleep... Now on to our terrifying night....
Tuesday night I went to bed around 11, Rob was working on a website and came to bed around 1:30, I remember him coming to bed and I think I told him (i may have just thought it) "you aren't going to be able to sleep now because you stayed up late" (which has been a problem he has if he is working on something his mind doesn't stop when he goes to bed and he gets insomnia). Around 2:30 I woke up and realized the babies hadn't woken up so I told Rob "the babies havent woken up yet I am going to go check on them" and i walk to the hallway and think i see a flashlight...i whisper "Rob, I just saw a light" then i think "oh no it was my imagination or the router flashing or something like that" then a man with a flashlight walks out of my livingroom with a light, I yell "ROB SOMEONES IN OUR HOUSE" making huge movements (hoping the robber gets startled and runs away) I was thinking "do i go to the babies room and find something to beat him with, does he have a gun, what if the kids walk out, why isn't rob running out here, oh theres hairspray right here wheres the lighter I could burn his face pretty bad" (I was pretty proud of how much I could think, i was definitely in defense mode and he was Not getting to my kids!) I almost just ran towards him screaming hoping he would run off hahaha....then i notice the man is crouched down some and i hear "ITS MEEEEE ITS MEEEE LAURIE!!!!!!!ITS MEEEEE!!!!!" in a somewhat familiar voice, but it sounded more high pitched and so funny.... hahahah (I am cracking up right now picturing it- writing it definitely doesn't do it justice) It was Rob, he went out to look at twitter or facebook to hopefully fall asleep...he couldn't talk at first because he was so scared by me....I was laughing soooo hard, (none of the kids woke up thankfully) We were both sooo scared and I thought it was so funny....but it made rob cry....hahah. as i was laughing he said "I'm crying, i can't stop im so scared for you" hahahahah. my sweet husband...who was a little out of it i think because of the time of night :) haha. It was a terrifying night....and a hilarious one...:)

Digging for dinosaur fossils

Most days the kids and I have "preschool time" where we sing songs, talk and write about a letter and number,  read a bible story and do some activity starting with that letter... Last week we were talking about the letter D so one of the activities we did was going on a "dino fossil hunt"...

they are only 13.5 months apart, it can be challenging sometimes having them so close but they are really becoming Best friends!

We also memorize a verse from their ABC bible verse book. The verse for D was "Delight yourself in the Lord" It's so fun teaching my kids about Gods word. The verses are usually pretty short and verses that I have known most my life, but such a good reminder and I learn more from verses everyday! Learning the ABC's and how to read and write is important, but the only thing that really matters is that my children  Delight themselves in the Lord, and that their desires are to bring Him honor and glory.

As I was going from room to room at 3am this morning trying to get all 4 kids back to sleep I started to get frustrated, the kids were all worn out and should be sleeping, but instead were all awake, I said a prayer that I would be patient and show them the love that God shows me and He really helped me....I know I could not have patience at 3 am (after being awake for atleast an hour) without His help! I finally got the babies to sleep then went back to Jude and Hailey's room I asked Jude what was wrong and he said "I just need one more prayer so i wont be afraid anymore, I know God is with me, and could squirt slime out of His ears if He wanted to (Thanks Veggie tales! ha) But i just want you to pray with me again" so i prayed with him and he went to sleep. It was so sweet....then I went to Haileys bed,  I love cuddling with her, but when I lay in bed with her she just talks and talks and talks! She was asking if we could go put make up on cause all the boys are asleep (we do that sometimes when all the boys nap) and asking if we could paint nails, play with her doll house, she even said "We could go take pictures?" haha...she was talking so fast, i couldn't help but just laugh at her and thank the Lord for her and all my Children! Being a mom of 4 3 years and younger can be stressful at times but I love my life and my children more than I ever thought was possible!!!! They are such a huge blessing! As i type this all 4 of them are dancing to the wiggles (we are working on the letter D this week so after we did our normal bible/preschool time they are having an extra long "D-D-Dance time" haha. the babies are bouncing up and down (today they are also seeing who can get the most bruises on their faces i think- everytime i turn around they are standing and falling on something) Jude has an iron man mask on dancing and hailey is in her underwear jumping up and down as high as she can (i have dressed her 2 times today ha) Ah, I am so thankful I am able to stay home with them!
